“Fool’s Mirage” is an interactive art installation that uses sand to explore the complex relationship between individuality and collectivity. Inspired by the transformation of pyrite from a solid block to grains of sand over time, the installation reflects on how time defines and reshapes objects, paralleling the evolution from an individual entity to a part of a collective whole. The artwork features three layers of sand, representing the future, present, and past, symbolizing the relentless passage of time. Integrated with light sensors, the installation invites viewers to engage with the work, prompting deep reflection on the flow of time and the fragility of existence. By immersing themselves in this space, audiences are encouraged to consider how individual actions influence the broader collective narrative and leave enduring traces in the continuum of history.
