Yuanyuan is an interdisciplinary researcher and biomimetic designer currently based in both London and Beijing. Her research primarily focuses on the interaction between nature and humanity, delving deeply through philosophical and data-driven perspectives. Her work encompasses methodologies in data retracing memory to explore the interactions and connections between humans and the natural world.
Her research interests span across multiple fields including ecological philosophy, digital humanities, and bioinformatics. She endeavors to interpret human cognition and impact on nature through data visualization and analysis, as well as nature’s responses to human society. Yuanyuan conducts independent research and actively collaborates with philosophers, data scientists, and ecologists to advance a deeper understanding of the relationship between nature and humanity.
In addition to her extensive academic involvement, she actively participates in various international exhibitions and awards. Her works, mainly in imagery and interactive installations, have been exhibited at venues such as the Jinan Biennial, L’Oreal China, JADE Art Center, Shenzhen Art Museum, and the Power Station of Art (PSA) in Shanghai. She has also collaborated with renowned brands including Bvlgari, Prada, Apple, Alibaba, Bazaar, and Vogue.
